On December 17th, Kazakhstan Capital Net reported that Kazakhstan's Energy Minister Satkalyev stated at a government meeting that from January to November this year, Kazakhstan's crude oil and condensate production was 80.5 million tons, which is 98% of the same period last year (82.2 million tons). Among the main oil fields, the Tengiz oil field has a production of 25.9 million tons, which is 97.9% of the same period last year (26.5 million tons).
The production of Kashgar glycerol field is 15.8 million tons, which is 92.8% of the same period last year (17.1 million tons); The Karachaganak oil field has a production of 11.1 million tons, which is 100.9% of the same period last year (11 million tons). The decrease in production is mainly affected by the major overhaul in 2024.
Due to the planned expansion of the Tengiz oilfield, a total of 50 days of maintenance were carried out in May and August; Kashag glycerol field has been completely shut down for 21 days due to equipment replacement.
In addition, unplanned shutdowns of the Karachaganak oilfield, restrictions on receiving natural gas at the Orenburg natural gas processing plant, and preventative maintenance within the Caspian Pipeline Consortium's plan have also affected crude oil production. From January to November, the export volume of crude oil from Kazakhstan was 63.2 million tons, accounting for 98.3% of the same period last year (64.3 million tons).
