High Pressure Removable Casing Repair Technology
Product Overview
High pressure retrievable casing patching technology is an innovative casing repair technology developed to eliminate such casing damages as downhole casing corrosion, leakage and breakage of oilfields. In this technology, the pressure produced by the combustion of composite propellant to drive the piston, converting chemical energy into mechanical energy. Then the taper pipes at two ends of the patching pipe realize relative motions. Two ends of the patching pipe are radially expanded to anchor the patching pipe onto the inner wall of casing. When the design anchoring force is reached, the release mechanism is released and separated from the patching pipe to take out all downhole tool strings, thus achieving the quick sealing and reinforcement of damaged sections. Based on tubing conveying process, the technology is applicable to the full-hole patching and reinforcement of oil wells, water wells and gas wells. It can also be used for perforation interval plugging and serves as an important technological method to stabilize and increase the yield of gas and oil fields in the medium and later stage and to reduce cost.
Technical Features
It has its own power source and has the advantages of convenient construction, short operation period and low cost.
Soft metal and expanded rubber double sealing structure is designed for the product. The rubber coated outside the patching pipe will not be easily scratched by the casing wall. Therefore, it can better meet the downhole casing sealing and pressure requirements.
Patching pipe salvage can be completed using conventional process. Repeated patching is allowed and the follow-up actions will not be affected.
Service life of the product is longer than five years.
